Easter Weekend re-cap

We had such a lovely weekend. We visited Andrew's family on the Friday and my family on the Saturday. The kids enjoyed Easter egg hunts and playing together inside and out! The weather was cooperative for the most part.

Sunday morning was sweet with E following the egg trails for T and himself to their gifts.

E got a used Playmobil recycling truck I bought off Varage Sale as well as a book/CD combo I purchased a couple months ago from his preschool's Scholastic sale and some markers he needed to replace the ones that are dying from over-usage!

T got two Bear books by Karma Wilson from the Scholastic order, Sweetest Kulu by Celina Kalluk and a set of three small boats for the bath.

I must say I never realized what a good deal the books are from the Scholastic orders! I would estimate that we spent around $45 on Easter including chocolate and all the gifts.

I would love to know what your Easter traditions are. Whether or not there is a bunny. What the Easter bunny does or doesn't bring your family.

We had a great time at church on Easter Sunday, with a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt followed by a meaningful message about how Jesus hid his identity after the resurrection and wanted to learn what impact his life and death had had on his followers (Luke 24:13-35). Turns out his resurrection would have more! Listen here.

We tried to make the rest of the day low-key but E was SO wired he couldn't sleep that night. Took us MANY tries to get him to stay in his room/bed hours later.

Monday we had friends visit, we went to the park threw around a frisbee, played inside and talked and had lunch together. Thankfully bed time went more smoothly!
