Daniel Tiger Birthday Party
Invitation
I'm all about the evite. Instead of using an evite with a photo of E, I downloaded an image of Daniel Tiger (on the left) and matched it with a pre-existing evite template (on the right).
Decorations
Tiger Striped Balloons:
2 bundles of colourful ones, 1 bundle of 3 orange tiger striped balloons tied to the roadside lamp at front of house.
Character Signs:
Printables from here.
5 tissue paper party decorations, printables taped on.
Entertainment
1. Foldable Trolley Craft and Colouring Page

2. Giant Bubble Wands
My mom brought large bubble wands that make giant bubbles. A ton of bubbles from the dollar store in a bucket and the kids were entertained for quite a while!
3. Relay Race and Crowns
Pre-cut the crowns from yellow bristol board and then just had to tape and trim the crown for each kid.
We did a series of 3 races in 2 teams with kids and adults participating.
Cake
The cake was a strawberry lemonade cake with buttercream frosting from Tiny Cakes in Cambridge. It was delicious! I added the Daniel Tiger characters, borrowed from a friend, and the candles.

- Shoe Hunt (one shoe each, one pile)
- All participants take off one shoe and put them in a big pile
- 2 teams line up and race one at a time to find their shoes
- Over-Under
- Each team gets a ball and it is moved over one person's head and then between the next person's legs. Once you pass the ball you go to the back of the line.
- We repeated the whole team twice
- Walk with child on your feet past a finish line
Menu
- Large cooler of water
- Kept outside to keep everyone hydrated
- Tiger Juice (inspiration)
- No Name Orange punch made according to package instructions
- Added in one drop of red food colouring per can of punch to turn it even orangey-er
- I used electrical tape to decorate a clear glass juice jug
- Catered sandwiches by Seven Shores
- Macaroni Salad (no mayo or tuna)
- Veggie Tray
- Nacho Dip & Nachos
- Devilled Eggs

Favours
I drew tiger faces and stripes on individual packs of mandarin oranges with a sharpie (inspiration) and printed off masks and attached them to popsicle sticks.
