Caribbean Cruise

Maybe you've noticed we went AWOL recently... Our cruise was Jan 21 to 30, but we flew down to Tampa on Jan 20 to make sure we weren't late for our departure. (Click on any photo below to enlarge).

Andrew's parents, grandma and aunt joined us on the cruise. It was so awesome to have them with us. We spent lots of time together over meals and playing games and we had some built in babysitting which was super generous!

So the cruise left Tampa, our first stop was Key West, Florida. The day was SUPER crazy rainy. But we still managed to have a fun time visiting Ernest Hemingway's house there.

Also, the cats had 6 toes...

We bypassed our second stop (Labadee Haiti) as there was potential to have protestors in boats blocking us, or in some way delaying us. Sad to miss out on the beach day, but it rained the ENTIRE day we were sailing by, so probably would have been pretty miserable.

The upside to skipping Haiti was getting to spend twice as much time in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Did a tour via taxi for a couple hours and then spent time in the afternoon in the fort.

Next day we stopped in Sint Maarten. It was by far the best weather day: sunny and ~29celsuis (every other day was mixed sun/clouds at best and low 20s as a high).

Fun on the ship!

I plan on writing down some notes about Cruising with a Toddler, so keep your eye out for that post if you're interested.

Also, a big thanks to my mom and dad who watched Banner for us while we were away!
