Scandinavia with Kids: Sweden Pit Stop
We had originally planned to take another overnight ferry from Norway to Denmark but when it looked like that wasn't going to work out, Andrew realized we could drive through Sweden fairly quickly (especially compared to how long it took to drive across Norway) and we would get to spend an unexpected day in Sweden which was a better use of time than doing the ferry for a second time.
Day 14: Moose Park and Sculpture Park
The Moose af Anneröd park was likely T's favourite day of our entire trip - he REALLY likes moose and it's fun to bring a toddler's dream come true! We chose this park mostly because of it's proximity to our route from Oslo to Copenhagen but also because of it's price (we did a walk by ourselves and not a guided tour).
Skulptur i Pilane was so interesting! Outdoor art galleries are my new favourite way to experience art with children. They can run and be loud and there is no pressure from anyone to have them act any differently. The only downside was timing our entire Swedish day around the rain - we got a bit wet at the end of our visit here and the wind was incredible at times. My teeth still hurt remembering how a metal snap from my coat smashed into my mouth because of it.
Day 15: Swedish Brunch and Travel to Copenhagen
We spent a fairly significant time in the morning enjoying our brunch! Everything was very fresh and much of it was made/baked on site.
There were many outdoor spaces to enjoy some time at the mill. Andrew and I set up a table out of the wind (there was a big storm overnight) in the evening and played cards outside our room while the boys fell asleep.

Day 15: Swedish Brunch and Travel to Copenhagen
We found a lovely place to stay outside of Gothenburg, Sweden called Kvarnen i Hyssna (The Mill Hyssna). It's a family owned and operated guesthouse/conference center and the owners were so wonderful. We stayed in the room on the right of the building pictured below. The interior was very modern and everything was super clean!
