Paddington Party

E turned 2 back in 2015 but I never put together the information on his party and it was one of my all-time favourite themes! So here's everything you need to know to plan a fun Paddington Party for a wee one in your life.

Invite:
Food:
We barbecued sausages and also had this spread - fruit and veggies, nachos and salsa and potato salad, not particularly British but delicious none the less.

For a themed addition we cut Babybels in half and used the curly end of straws to make umbrellas reminiscent of the London weather and we had Teddy Grahams which was a cute addition.

This was definitely the highlight of the party! Our talented friend made the most delicious cake with orange marmalade layered in and amazing buttercream icing with fondant accents. We still talk about this cake years later.

Favours:
The favours for this party were super simple: Teddy Beach Balls and Fish 'N Chips (fish crackers and plain Ripple chips) for the kids and a jar of Marmalade for each family.

Decor:
I worked on my ability to free-hand circles for this decoration - the Paddington Station sign as found in London (with an added sparkle).

The table held a few centerpieces with British flags, a London icon print and blue and red paper straws. I love balloons and had a couple bunches of red blue and white balloons in our living room.

I was able to order some Paddington party items including the balloon shown below as well as paper cups and plates for the kids.

Whenever I do a party with a book theme I like to place a few of the books out for people to look at. Inevitably someone really enjoys looking through them to reminisce or read for the first time!
