Camping Baby Must-Haves

1. Pack 'n Play & Mosquito Net
The safest place for baby in a tent is a pack 'n play. To keep the bugs off a mosquito net with elastic around the edges works wonders!

2. Fuzzy Sleeper
Even a warm 30°C day can drop to a cold 5°C overnight. Pack one warm sleeper in case a cold snap hits.

3. Fan & Heater In One
If you are camping on a site with electricity a super-safe fan is a great addition to keep the air moving in the tent during nap time. If it has a small (safe) heater built in, all the better for a cold night!

4. Thick Sleep Sack and Thin Sleep Sack
Thick sleep sack paired with a warm sleeper for cold nights and a thin sleep sack for a baby in a diaper for naps in the heat.

5. Booster Seat with Tray
This seat is great for meal time but also a safe place for baby to play if you need to turn your attention to something else for a minute.

6. Baby-safe sunscreen (6 months+ only)
I choose mineral sunscreens over chemical ones for my babies as they provide sun protection without chemical absorption into the skin.

7. Natural Bug Repellent balm
Natural bug repellent is a good option as DEET is not safe for young children. Become educated on what oils are safe for young babies.

8. Large Quilt over a Tarp
For a clean place to play, lay down a tarp and cover it with a quilt.

9. Baby Carrier
I suggest a soft-structured carrier (SSC) for general use and short hikes of a few hours. If you're doing major all-day hikes, a hiking carrier may work better. A carrier also means you can leave your stroller at home.
