David Blaine
Summer has begun and we're already getting things checked off our Summer Bucket List! After T was born last October, I spent a fair amount of time watching Netflix while nursing him. Once I got through all of Gilmore Girls I went on to watch ALL of the magic shows that were on Netflix. I really loved the David Blaine shows and Penn & Teller: Fool Us.
When Andrew saw the David Blaine tickets for sale a few months later he had a ready-made birthday plan! He took me out for an almost birthday dinner at King St. Trio followed by David Blaine Live, Magic Deconstructed Tour!
If there is any chance you can get tickets, go! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
David said he is unlikely to do another tour like this as it's so rough on his body. He is doing shows 6 out of 7 days of the week and can't eat on performance day in order for him to safely become a HUMAN AQUARIUM and not hurt the frogs...
He described this tour as his biggest endurance test that is also the most fun. Usually his endurance "tricks" are done over many months of focused training alone. This tour is almost 2 months of showcasing his skills and spending time interacting with the audience.
If you can't get to a show (there's only one more in Canada, Hamilton tonight!) then start watching his shows on Canadian Netflix!
