Pout Pout Fish Party

We printed out a giant Pout Pout Fish, added some small white balloons to look like bubbles and wrote the letters of his name on them. It turned out very well. Then a few bunches of dark and light blue balloons with see-through balloons added to the under the sea feel.

Food:

We served vegetarian chili with all the fixings and lemonade-based punch with food colouring to make Ocean Water. I asked the grocery store to make a cake and do the base decorating of blue background with seaweed coming up. I then printed out images from the book and laminated them and placed them on the cake.

As a bonus, the characters turned into a fun car and restaurant toy for our now two year old.

Activities:

We did a read-aloud of The Pout-Pout Fish, played a fishing game, and had free printable colouring sheets for any of the kids that were interested.

Favours:

Each family was able to choose one Pout Pout Fish book to bring home with them.
