Advent 2018
I'm excited this year to do something a little bit different than we have in the past (2016 & 2017). We're bringing the Advent tradition of candle lighting that we've done in years past at church into our home. Weekly on Sundays we will light a new candle (and previously lit candles) read an Advent reading and Bible verse and sing a Christmas carol. I've found kid-friendly readings here that we will use this year.
I made these candles at an Advent Bible study that started last week and was able to use cut pieces of our Christmas tree to place on a platter along with the candles. I LOVE IT.
We're still following along a daily Advent calendar reading and memorizing Bible verses and doing daily Advent activities as we have in past years.
