Day Camp Review - Carousel Dance Camp

E attended a 3 hour morning dance camp for kids aged 3-4 years at Carousel Dance Centre for one week in August. At the end of the week all the kids (including the older kids) put on a performance for parents. The staff did an excellent job ensuring E had a great time.

He was truly excited to go to camp every day. A typical camp day included free play time at the beginning and end of the mornings with costumes, toys, books as well as dedicated time learning new dances, eating the snack they brought from home, and making a craft. I've seen a difference in his body awareness and in the type of dance moves he knows and feels confident doing.

At just under $25/day (incl. tax) I found the price to be on the higher side of costs for camps in our area especially as a snack was not provided. That being said, I did not think it was unreasonable. Below is their poster for the week of camp E attended.

E did enjoy the crafts and months later is still playing with them. I also thought it was fun how they included a couple of the crafts they made as costumes for their end of week dance presentation.
